About the Image Resizer
Resizing an image changes its pixel dimensions — the number of pixels that make up its width and height. A 4000×3000 photo resized to 1200×900 has the same content but fewer pixels, which means a smaller file size and faster load times.
Pixel dimensions mode lets you set an exact width and height. With aspect ratio lock on, changing one dimension automatically updates the other to keep the image from stretching. Turn it off when you need to fit a specific ratio — like 1:1 for a social media profile photo — even if it means cropping the visual content.
Percentage mode scales the image relative to its original size. 50% on a 2000×1500 image gives you 1000×750. Use 25% for thumbnails, 75% when you want a modest reduction. Values above 100% scale up — but making an image larger than its original always reduces sharpness (you're stretching existing pixels, not adding new detail).
JPG and WebP inputs are saved as JPEG (quality 92%). PNG inputs are saved as PNG with transparency intact. Download filenames include the new dimensions for easy identification.
