About the Time Zone Converter

Our free time zone converter shows the current time in multiple locations simultaneously, updating live every second. Switch to Custom Time mode to convert any specific date and time — useful for scheduling meetings, planning travel, or coordinating across continents.

Select your source time zone from the dropdown, then add as many target time zones as you need. Each result shows the converted time, the local date (useful when crossing midnight), and the UTC offset so you always know exactly where you stand. Remove any timezone with a single click.

The tool supports 35+ major time zones covering every inhabited region of the world — from Honolulu to Auckland, Los Angeles to Moscow, London to Tokyo. It automatically accounts for daylight saving time based on the current or selected date.

No data is sent anywhere. The conversion happens entirely in your browser using the built-in Intl API, which means it's always accurate and works offline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the converter account for daylight saving time?

Yes. DST rules are automatically applied based on the selected time zone and date. A conversion in summer will use summer time, and one in winter uses standard time for zones that observe DST.

Why does converting 'today at 3 PM' give a different result in summer vs winter?

Daylight saving time shifts clocks by one hour in most observing regions. A meeting at 3 PM EST in January might be 8 PM GMT, but 3 PM EDT in July is only 7 PM GMT — a one-hour difference depending on the season.

What is UTC and why is it used as a reference?

UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the global time standard that doesn't observe daylight saving. All time zones are defined as UTC offsets (e.g., UTC+5:30 for India). It's used as a neutral reference point for international coordination.

How do I convert time zones for a recurring weekly meeting?

Convert the time once and note the offset. Be aware that if either party's region observes DST, the offset may change by one hour twice a year. Check the conversion at the start of DST transitions.
