About the Image Rotation Tool
Our free online image rotation tool lets you rotate any photo or image in seconds, directly in your browser. Upload your file, choose your rotation angle, and download the result — no account, no server upload, no waiting.
You can rotate left or right in 90° steps, flip to 180°, or mirror the image horizontally and vertically. All four options can be combined freely — rotate 90° and flip horizontally at the same time, for example. The preview updates instantly so you always see exactly what you'll get before downloading.
Common use cases: fixing a photo that was taken sideways on a phone, mirroring a selfie, correcting a scanned document that came out upside down, or flipping an asset for a design project. The tool handles PNG, JPG, and WEBP files and preserves the original format in the output.
Everything runs locally using the Canvas API. Your image is never sent to any server, stored, or logged — you can rotate sensitive or private images with complete confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my photo look sideways even in my gallery?
Phones store rotation in EXIF metadata rather than actually rotating pixels. Some apps read this data and show it correctly; others ignore it. This tool corrects the actual pixel rotation.
Will rotating affect image quality?
90°, 180°, 270° rotations are lossless for PNG. JPG files see minimal quality loss from re-encoding.
Can I rotate to a custom angle like 45°?
Currently supports 90° increments and horizontal/vertical flipping. For arbitrary angles, use an image editor.
What formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WebP. Output is saved as PNG.
